Penalties for Ending Rentals Outside Official Stations
If you return a bike improperly outside an official station at the end of your rental, a service fee of €200 for a classic bike and €500 for an e-bike will be charged. These fees do not apply to the first return made outside an official station. However, in case of recurrence, the fees will automatically apply.
You can view the applicable fees for your rentals in your rental history, either in the app or in your customer account via the website login.
You can still avoid these fees: simply return to the bike and rent it again. The new rental will be merged with the previous one (the rental price will be calculated from the start of the first rental to the end of the second), and the incorrect return fees will be cancelled if you correctly return the bike this time.
Where Can I Return My VélO2 Bike?
Bikes cannot be returned outside the official VélO2 stations.
You may return our bikes at any official VélO2 station within the system.
There is no flexibility zone: returns outside official stations will result in a €200 fee for a classic bike and €500 for an e-bike.

Due to slight GPS inaccuracies, it is possible that a fee is charged even if you returned your bike at a station.
